Aims we considered before casting & when recording:
- Actors under 16 require a chaperone at all times and written informed parental consent.
- Actors require a high quality script sent in advance (at least 3 days before recording), they should not be deceived or misled about their role.
- Cast appropriately considering age & accent. There’s no point having a 30 year old play a 70 year old as it will not work.
- Actors require clear direction and feedback. The team should act professionally and be respectful at all times
- Provide refreshments and breaks during recording
- Provide a copy of the finished drama to the actors & thank them for their work.
Our director also set up a Star Now call casting to see if anyone was interested in the local area. There were a few actors on here that we would have liked to play the part. For example a young girl called India brown to play the part of Katie the young sister of James.
Our director tried to contact India’s Mother to see if she would be interested in her daughter playing the part, but sadly we did not hear back.
We also sent out a variety of emails to different actors to see who were available on the day which we found challenging at first as there were no actors able to help on the days we wanted to record.

– Katie voiced by Molly Freeman O’Reilly: Molly is a 10 year old child actor with some experience.
– Stacey voiced by Anne Hilliard: Anne has 13 years experience acting in an amateur theatre company.
– Marvin voiced by Dom Gilvary: Dom is a really experienced actor with over 30 years experience.
– James voiced by Simon Payne: Simon is a drama student at the university.
